IgniteLI Announces 2020 Legislative Endorsement of Anna S. Kaplan
Long Island’s Manufacturing Consortium joins MIPAC’s Political Action Committee in its Endorsement of Pro-Business Candidates
This year, IgniteLI and MIPAC the Manufacturing-Industry Political Action Committee of the Manufacturers Alliance of New York State has endorsed pro-manufacturing, reform-minded candidates from areas throughout New York State. We focused on several factors; With Incumbent candidates, we looked for candidates who provided our membership and sector with legislative support, advocated for our Statewide workforce and training efforts, and regularly engaged with our member companies. For all candidates, we took into consideration positions on key issues including corporate tax elimination for pass through manufacturers, strengthening the State’s workforce development platform, regulatory reform, and addressing high energy costs.
IgniteLI President Anne Shybunko-Moore stated, “Now more than ever, it is crucial that our representatives in Albany are supporting Long Island’s manufacturing industries and economic recovery across the state. Key issues for the region’s manufacturing community include workforce development support, regulatory reform, and the corporate tax elimination for pass through manufacturers. For these reasons we are pleased to endorse Anna M. Kaplan for the 7th New York State Senate District.”
