The cost of doing business on Long Island is going up as supply chains are stretched and skilled labor becomes more valuable. While there is not much we can do about that, we can avoid overpaying and even get refunded for some of the everyday expenses we incur.
Manufacturers are overspending on utilities like electricity, gas, communications, workers comp. and more. IgniteLI partner Michael Macchi discusses common manufacturing overspending practices and some solutions he and his team have developed to ensure our members are not paying more than necessary.

During the interview, Michael Macchi addressed some of the benefits to auditing your overhead expenses, “We are finding that a 15-minute conversation with manufacturers is netting tens of thousands of dollars in rebaits and cashback. Manufacturing is prime for these sorts of audits because their regular costs of doing business are typically so high due to energy use. Workers Compensation is another area that we have found tremendous savings for manufacturers.”
