LITEEA & Ignite Long Island ATDM Information Event

Ignite Long Island is proud to partner with the Long Island Technology & Engineering Educators Association (LITEEA) to introduce Long Island students and their families to exciting career and training opportunities in defense manufacturing through the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program.

This invite-only informational event is designed for teacher-selected ATDM candidates and their parents or guardians to learn more about the program, explore hands-on career pathways, and discover how advanced manufacturing skills can lead to opportunities within the nation’s defense industrial base.

About ATDM

ATDM provides an intensive 16-week training experience in Danville, Virginia, preparing participants with hands-on skills for careers supporting the defense manufacturing industry.

Training pathways include:

• CNC Machining
• Welding
• Quality
• Additive Manufacturing
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

During the event, students and families will have the opportunity to learn more about ATDM training, the skills participants can develop, and the career opportunities available within advanced and defense manufacturing.

Through the partnership between LITEEA and Ignite Long Island, this event is intended to help connect students interested in technology, engineering, and hands-on careers with an opportunity to take the next step toward a career in manufacturing.
