IgniteLI Member Retools Shop Floor to Meet Critical PPE Demand
A&Z Pharmaceuticals will now begin producing N95 Respirators to meet enduring demand.
Hauppauge, NY: NYS has requested manufacturers to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic by producing critical PPE and has offered grant dollars to alleviate product shortages due to supply chain issues. Companies approved through this program will increase the State’s manufacturing capacity while creating new jobs and market opportunities.
A&Z Pharmaceuticals successfully applied for the COVID-19 grant from Empire State Development to retool some of its operations and begin manufacturing N95 respirators, which will help contribute to saving lives in New York State and across the country. This grant will complement the investment made by A&Z and will create 10 additional jobs at its manufacturing facilities in Hauppauge, New York.
A&Z operates two facilities in Hauppauge, New York, and is a leading developer, manufacturer, and packager of pharmaceutical products, vitamins, and sports nutrition supplements in Long Island. Lead by Emma Li Xu, Chairwoman, and CEO of A&Z Pharmaceutical, Inc. (A&Z).
