Empire State Development Grants are now open for Long Island MFG
(Hauppauge, NY) Long Island Manufacturers can now apply for governmental resources available today through the Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) Empire State Development Capital Grants. The program can fund up to 20% of the total project cost for capital improvement projects with job creation, grant applications are rolling again this year so manufacturers are able to apply for grant funding and Excelsior tax credits for expansion projects on a rolling basis.

Funding is for capital-based economic development initiatives intended to create or retain jobs; prevent, reduce or eliminate unemployment and underemployment; and/or increase business activity in a community or region.
EDF funds assist with:
Construction, expansion, and rehabilitation of facilities
Acquisition of machinery and equipment
Working capital
Training full-time, permanent employees
Funds can be used for:
Real estate and land acquisition
Demolition
Construction and renovations
Site and infrastructure
Machinery and equipment
Inventory
Construction-related planning and design
Training
Soft costs
Feasibility planning studies
