LIBIO Job Fair Seeks to Fill Critical Positions on the Shop Floor

In-demand jobs in lucrative careers across the fastest-growing industrial sector on Long Island.

Long Island’s Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, and Biotech companies lead the globe in innovation and quality while producing the lifesaving and essential products needed to keep our families healthy. With an estimated 10,000 employees, Long Island’s Pharmaceutical/Nutraceutical manufacturing sector employs more people than any other manufacturing sector in any other county throughout New York State. Every year since 2013, the number of people employed by Long Island’s Pharmaceutical/Nutraceutical manufacturing sector has outnumbered employment by the sector for the rest of New York State combined, which is why critical vacancies on the shop floor are so impactful to company growth and confidence.

LI-Bio, the Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, and Biotech organization of IgniteLI which serves Long Island’s manufacturers seeks to assist industry in all aspects and recognizes the impact today’s workforce shortage has had on our members. That’s why we partnered with Suffolk County Department of Labor and Middle Country Library to build the bridge between employers and future employees. This coalition, led by Tom Mariner, brought hundreds of applicants to some of the biggest employers of Suffolk County, including A&Z Pharmaceutical, CPC, Amneal, and others.

LI-Bio plans on having in-person events to continue the momentum of industry support. Summer and Fall 2022 will see Manufacturing Day 2022, a Nassau County Job Fair, the Education Roundtable, and networking events. To learn more contact [email protected] or [email protected]
