Long Island MFG Training Grows from Upstate Collaboration

Workforce development pipeline expands as more classes are presented to Long Island manufacturers.

Hauppauge, Long Island: Today IgniteLI, is excited to announce the largest expansion to their Workforce Development offerings since early 2020. Across every manufacturing industry on Long Island skilled labor stands in the way of growth and expansion. Through a collaboration with our upstate partner MACNY (The Manufacturers Association of Central New York) and the Manufacturers Alliance of New York we are pleased to bring our member companies a diverse cadre of training professionals dedicated to providing meaningful training and development opportunities for New York State’s manufacturers.

Through virtual classes that range from morning briefings to day-long technical workshops, to multi-day certification programs, this partnership offers more to Long Island’s manufacturers’ skilled labor pipelines than ever before. IgniteLI Executive Director Patrick Boyle said, “This partnership offers manufacturers the ability to enhance existing job training of valuable employees, everyone from the shop floor to the executive suite will benefit from our new partnership.” The MACNY-backed classes have already begun delivering value across the State, MACNY’s President & CEO Randy Wolken[pb1] [pb2] stated, “We are pleased to partner with IgniteLI to bring critical training to Long Island manufacturers.
