Long Islander Named to National MFG Leadership Council

Dr. Jill O’Sullivan of Farmingdale State College begins new nationwide leadership position with the National Association of Manufacturers.

(Hauppauge, NY)- The National Association of Manufacturers’ Manufacturing Leadership Council is the world’s first member-driven, global business leadership network dedicated to senior executives in the manufacturing industry. Led by a Board of Governors which comprises senior manufacturing executives and industry experts at leading manufacturing and research organizations around the world.

Today in Washington, D.C. The Manufacturing Leadership Council (MLC), has announced the election of six leading figures from industry and academia to the MLC’s Board of Governors, which serves to offer an extensive portfolio of leadership networking, research, thought leadership content, and professional development products, programs, and services to America’s Manufacturing Community.

IgniteLI, the Manufacturing Consortium of Long Island is pleased to announce that Dr. Jill O’Sullivan, Professor, and Chair of the Computer Systems Department at Farmingdale State College has been elected to join the Board of Governors at the Manufacturing Leadership Council. Patrick Boyle, Executive Director of IgniteLI applauds the decision citing that, “Dr. O’Sullivan’s expertise and passion for tech integration on the Shop Floor is a wonderful asset for Long Island business and the Manufacturing Leadership Council.
