Ignite LI Meets with U.S. Small Business Administration to Advance Workforce Development Partnerships
This week, Ignite Long Island traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet with senior officials at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), joined by our partners at Nassau BOCES and GSE Dynamics, Inc. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss new ways to strengthen workforce development initiatives and expand access to training resources that support entrepreneurs, small businesses, and the future workforce on Long Island.
During the visit, the group focused on the importance of building stronger connections between workforce training programs and the evolving needs of local industries. By expanding access to innovative training centers and skill-building programs, organizations across Long Island can better prepare individuals for emerging career opportunities while helping businesses access the talent they need to grow.
The conversation also highlighted the role that collaboration between federal agencies, educational institutions, and industry leaders plays in driving sustainable economic growth. Partnerships like these help ensure that workforce development programs are aligned with real-world business needs and that aspiring entrepreneurs have the resources necessary to succeed.
Ignite LI appreciates the SBA’s leadership and their continued commitment to supporting initiatives that empower businesses, strengthen communities, and create meaningful opportunities for the next generation of workers and innovators.
As these discussions move forward, Ignite LI looks forward to continuing this collaboration and advancing initiatives that connect workforce training with real economic impact across Long Island.
